Andrew Jenkins

Andrew Jenkins, managing partner of Karnes, is responsible for the commercial real estate analysis work performed by the firm. In addition to his quarterly analysis of commercial properties in Raleigh, Durham, Charlotte, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, High Point, and Asheville, Mr. Jenkins also provides semi-annual analysis on the Raleigh-Durham apartment market. Mr. Jenkins is a contributing writer to both the Charlotte Business Journal’s Real Estate and Leasing Report, a quarterly publication covering commercial real estate in the Charlotte area and Commercial Real Estate Today, a quarterly magazine covering commercial real estate in the Triangle area, and is frequently a quoted source in newspapers and other periodicals. Since 2001, Mr. Jenkins has also been a guest lecturer at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Kenan-Flagler Business School, helping graduate and undergraduate students better understand how market analysis and research improve and aid the decision-making process in the commercial real estate industry.

In addition to his analysis work with Karnes, Mr. Jenkins has also been responsible for the company’s web-based initiatives that include the creation of it's commercial property exchanges. In addition to the web-based initiatives for commercial property exchanges, Mr. Jenkins has also been responsible for the development of an online apartment research solution currently implemented in the Triangle area (www.aptxchange.com).



Brian Reece

Brian Reece, a managing partner of Karnes Research Company, has been involved in the commercial real estate industry for over a decade. In addition to his research and analysis work with Karnes Research Company, Mr. Reece has been on the opposite side of the industry while working with commercial real estate developers.

Mr. Reece joined Karnes Research in 1996 as the Director of Research Services. Mr. Reece has been in charge of tracking the Charlotte, Triangle, and Asheville commercial markets that comprise more than 213 million square feet of office, industrial and retail properties, as well as more than 82,000 apartment units in the Raleigh-Durham area. Mr. Reece has also consulted public and private sector clients on issues such as economic development, housing, retail demand, office and industrial demand, apartment feasibility, and demographics.
